Holland Shipyards Group delivered the “TSHD Zeeburg”

Holland Shipyards Group delivered the TSHD Zeeburg to the owners Zand- & Grindhandel Van Ouwerkerk BV.

The former cargo vessel with 89,90m length has been converted into a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger at the Holland Shipyards yard in Hardinxveld-Giessendam.

The project compromised several extensive work procedures, such as modifications to the hull, an enlargement of the accommodation in the aft ship and the installation of all necessary dredging equipment.

Aas Mek delivered newbuilding no. 210, “Ronja Queen”

Aas Mek. Verksted AS delivered its newbuilding no. 210, a wellboat type AAS 3002 ST to the owner Sølvtrans AS.

The new «Ronja Queen» has a well volume of 3000m³ distributed over two fish tanks.

The boat is specially adapted for transporting smolt with calls at smolt facilities and areas that can be difficult to access with too large a deep-sea vessel.

The vessel is arranged with a system for zero-emissions during closed transport with monitoring, cleaning and treatment of all water circulation, filter system for collecting lice, UV treatment of water in and out of the cargo holds, auto washing and disinfection facilities, monitoring, regulation and logging of water parameters and system for freshwater treatment of the fish.

Retrofit updated communication SATCOM and ECU units for Portuguese Navy

We recently had the privilege of executing and delivering another engineering project on structural platform detail production elements, to retrofit updated communication SATCOM and ECU units on Portuguese Navy (Marinha Portuguesa) vessels.

The delivery of all detail design and production elements were performed, integrating the initial information from Rhinoceros, and producing on ShipConstructor the final elements and nesting data for shipyard production.

“Wellingdorf” for Schlepp- und Fährgesellschaft Kiel was christened

After the previous deliveries of three hybrid ferries and one fully electric ferry, Schlepp- und Fährgesellschaft Kiel christened their second electric ferry ‘Wellingdorf’ on August 22.

The ‘Wellingdorf’ measures 24,70 by 7,20 m and she is a sister vessel of the previous delivered ‘Düsternbrook’. The vessel is completely emission-free and entirely powered by battery power with an installed capacity of 1092 kWh. Besides the battery pack the vessel has 20 solar panels on the roof to provide the onboard power supply network.

Holland Shipyards Group delivered the “Wik”

Holland Shipyards Group recently delivered the hybrid ferry ‘Wik’ to Schlepp-und Fährgesellschaft Kiel mbH.

The ferry measures 33,50 m by 9,00 m and is provided with a hybrid drivetrain that can be powered by either generators or by means of a battery system. The ‘Wik’ is equipped with two electric propulsion motors with 255 kW each and a battery capacity of 273 kWh. The batteries will be charged overnight at a charging station.

The vessel was put into operation in Kieler Fjord.

Holland Shipyards Group delivered the “Friedrichsort”

Holland Shipyards Group recently delivered the first out of three additional hybrid ferries for Schlepp-und Fährgesellschaft Kiel mbH.

The “Friedrichsort” is a hybrid ferry measuring 32,40 metres, a beam of 8,80 metres, provided with a hybrid drivetrain that can be powered by either generators or by means of a battery bank.

The vessel will operate within the area of Kiel.

With a role in building green vessels, Holland Shipyards Group is committed to work on a greener future for the maritime industry.

Aas Mek delivered newbuilding no. 208, “Ronja Princess”

Aas Mek. Verksted AS delivered its newbuilding no. 208, a wellboat type AAS 3002 ST to the owner Sølvtrans AS.

The new «Ronja Princess» is the first of three sister ships with 76.96 meters long, 17.80 meters wide and a depth of 5.90 meters.

The cargo volume is 3000 m3 which gives a capacity of carrying 400-450 tons of live fish. The cargo space is divided into two fish wells, which are equipped with sliding bulkheads and pressure loading and unloading systems.

The boats are designed for open and closed transport with RSW cooling, low draft for smolt transport and a dewatering system for freshwater treatment of the fish.

Cargo vessel conversion into a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD)

Van Ouwerkerk BV has awarded Holland Shipyards Group the contract to convert the newly acquired cargo vessel MS ‘Bente’ which measures 89.89m (length) by 14.50m (width) into a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD).
The converted ship will be named ‘Zeeburg‘.

The project comprises several extensive work procedures, such as modifications to the hull, an enlargement of the accommodation in the aft ship and the installation of all necessary dredging equipment.
